The reason they were all out for you at the beginning was purely strategic. You were the most powerful tank on the battlefield, being a king tiger an' all, so they wanted to get rid of you, and deal with the little tanks later. Also, you could've bought the repair tool which (surprise surprise) lets you repair. You also could've bought better shells for your main gun, which do more damage, or go further.
